Analytics
Track user behavior, build dashboards, monitor errors, and make data-driven decisions.
What Is Bosca Analytics?
Bosca Analytics is a complete analytics platform built into the Bosca platform. It gives you the tools to understand how people use your application, spot trends and patterns, track errors as they happen, and present insights through interactive dashboards — all without relying on third-party analytics services.
Whether you need to monitor daily active users, track conversion funnels, investigate a spike in errors, or build a real-time operations dashboard, Bosca Analytics provides the building blocks to get there.
How It All Fits Together
Analytics in Bosca follows a natural flow from data collection to insight:
- Events are collected automatically. When users visit your web application, Bosca captures page views, button clicks, form submissions, and JavaScript errors without any manual setup. You can also send custom events for business-specific actions like purchases or sign-ups.
- Events are enriched and stored. As events flow through the system, they are automatically enriched with location data (country, region, city) and errors are grouped together by similarity. Everything is stored in a high-performance data warehouse optimized for analytical queries.
- Queries extract insights. You write and save reusable queries to ask questions of your data — how many users visited this week, which pages have the highest bounce rate, what errors are most common. Queries support parameters so a single query can serve many purposes.
- Visualizations make data visual. Query results are turned into charts, tables, maps, and KPI cards. Choose from bar charts, line charts, pie charts, scatter plots, geographic maps, and more.
- Dashboards bring it all together. Arrange visualizations into interactive dashboards with shared filters. Change a date range once and every chart on the dashboard updates. Share dashboards with your team so everyone works from the same data.
Bosca Analytics integrates with the platform's permission system. Access to queries, dashboards, visualizations, and error data is controlled through the same groups and roles you use across the rest of Bosca.
Key Capabilities
| Capability | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Event Tracking | Automatically captures page views, user interactions, and errors from web applications. Supports custom events for business-specific tracking. |
| Queries | Save reusable SQL queries with parameters to answer recurring questions about your data. Queries power visualizations and dashboards. |
| Visualizations | Turn query results into charts, tables, KPI cards, and maps. Eleven visualization types cover everything from simple numbers to geographic heatmaps. |
| Dashboards | Compose visualizations into interactive layouts with shared filters. Build operations dashboards, executive summaries, or team-specific views. |
| Error Tracking | Automatically detects and groups similar errors. Track error status, assign to team members, and use AI-powered analysis to understand root causes. |
| AI Analysis | One-click root-cause analysis for error groups. The AI examines the error details, occurrence patterns, and context to provide a human-readable summary of what went wrong and how to fix it. |
Common Use Cases
- Product analytics — Understand which features are used most, where users drop off, and how engagement changes over time.
- Operations monitoring — Build dashboards that show real-time error rates, performance metrics, and system health.
- Business reporting — Create executive dashboards with KPIs like conversion rates, revenue metrics, and user growth.
- Error investigation — When something breaks, quickly find all related errors, see how many users are affected, and get AI-assisted root-cause analysis.
- Geographic analysis — See where your users are located and how usage patterns vary by region using map visualizations.
